Prashant Kavale

Prashant Kavale is a distinguished engineering consultant, entrepreneur, and business leader with over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing sectors. A graduate of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli (1993) with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he further strengthened his business and leadership credentials through a dual MBA specializing in Finance and International Business. As the Founder and CEO of Nexiom Technologies, he leads the organization’s vision of delivering future-ready engineering and consulting solutions to clients across the globe. Throughout his career, he has successfully contributed to the development of more than 1,000 pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences facilities across over 50 countries, with deep expertise in facility design, cleanroom engineering, process optimization, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Prashant combines technical expertise with strategic business insight to help organizations achieve sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and global competitiveness. His experience spans greenfield and brownfield manufacturing facilities, technology transfer, market entry strategies, mergers and acquisitions, investment advisory, and business transformation initiatives. Under his leadership, Nexiom is emerging as a trusted global consulting and engineering partner serving industries including pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, laboratories, hospitals, medical devices, semiconductors, EV batteries, food processing, aerospace & defence, and data centers. Sunil Sarmalkar is a Director at Nexiom. With over four decades of leadership in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, Mr. Sunil G. Sarmalkar is a distinguished pharmaceutical technologist, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor with extensive experience spanning manufacturing, product development, technology transfer, regulatory compliance, and greenfield project execution. As the Founder & CEO of T&T Pharma Care, he has successfully conceptualized, designed, and commissioned pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, delivering projects compliant with USFDA, WHO-GMP, MHRA, PIC/S, TGA, Health Canada, ANVISA, and India's Schedule M requirements. His expertise covers sterile injectables, oncology, hormonal products, oral solid dosage forms, veterinary pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and high-containment manufacturing systems.
An alumnus of K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai, where he earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.), Mr. Sarmalkar further enhanced his strategic and leadership capabilities by completing his MBA in Business Management from the Institute of Management, Delhi. This unique blend of pharmaceutical expertise and business leadership has enabled him to successfully guide organizations through innovation, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and international expansion.
Throughout his distinguished career with organizations including Cipla, US Vitamins, Sigma Laboratories, Macleods Pharmaceuticals, and T&T Pharma Care, Mr. Sarmalkar has led numerous technology transfer, manufacturing excellence, quality, and operational transformation initiatives while developing innovative pharmaceutical and veterinary products for global markets. Recognized for his practical engineering insight and entrepreneurial vision, he continues to mentor organizations in building internationally competitive pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.
